Civil society organizations have some public roles. These roles are getting in contact with local, regional and global public actors, finding sources, affecting public opinion, improving civic culture, and leading decision making processes. Internet and social media platforms may contribute to civil society organizations realizing their public roles and improving their institutional potentials. Civil society organizations should have access to the information technologies and should develop a specific strategy towards the use of information technologies. This research analyzes the access level of civil society organizations to information technologies, the usage level of information technologies in the activities of organizations, and organizations' approach to the use of these technologies.
