The performances of fast frequency hopping OFDM (FFH/OFDM) and conventional OFDM signals are evaluated and compared numerically over Doppler spread flat Rayleigh fading channels with an equal channel gain for all subcarriers. The considered receiver algorithms in this paper are Zero Forcing (ZF) and Minimum Mean Square Error (MMSE). The Doppler Effect is modeled by an improved Jakes Channel Model with M=16 sinusoids. In numerical calculations, four Phase Shift Keying (4-PSK) modulation is employed. The numerical results show that both systems have a similar Bit Error Rate (BER) performance. On the other hand, Doppler spread constraints the performance of the both systems and the BER cannot reduce after a certain value, although signal power rises.
